Last night my husky was shot dead by a farmer, when my freind rang him to help catching her. Is that legal?

I c an understand a farmer protecting distressed liv estock from unwanted dogs. A farmer friend of mine states quite clearly on a sign “tresspassing dogs will be shot….survivors will be shot again”. Then again – he also warns – “you need to be able to run the length of the fiels in 9.5 seconds….the bull does it in 10″.

at first glance i thought it was outrageous to punish the farmer. but the rabbit was not livestock and the dog was not a dangerous breed but in his position i cant say i wouldnt do the same!
