Beer for Chalky

Six months after his sad death, the memory of Rick Stein’s beloved dog Chalky has been commemorated by Sharp’s Brewery, based in Cornwall.

The beer, created to go well with seafood, is described by Stein as an impressive beer having a distinctively English taste and will be sold in Sainsbury’s throughout the UK.

Chalky’s Bite was created before the much-loved Jack Russell lost his life at the age of 17, and has since been named after him in tribute to his life. The public grew to know and love him from his well-known appearances on Stein’s television series.

Sadly, the Jack Russell actor that played Eddie in the TV series Fraser, has died.

Aged 16, Moose died at his trainer’s home last week. He appeared in 192 episodes of the hit show, from 1993 to 2003, with his son, Enzo, taking over when he retired.

John Mahoney, who played Eddie’s owner Marty Crane, explained that liver pate was often used to encourage Moose to lick his fellow actors’ faces.

Joss Stone best celeb dog owner

British soul singer, Joss Stone, was declared Best Celebrity Dog Owner in a poll by The New York Dog Magazine.

Stone’s work with American animal shelters, following the disastrous impact of Hurrican Katrina, is cited as one of the main reasons that those surveyed gave in her support.

Paris Hilton was declared Worst Celebrity Dog Owner.
